Community Outings: Camps, Conferences, and Events That Shaped Our Children in August

Sep 17, 2025Reports

Life at Tabitha Home is not confined to the walls of our facility. We believe children grow best when they are exposed to diverse experiences that build confidence, character, and community. This August, our children participated in several outings, camps, and conferences β€” each leaving a lasting impact.

Here are some highlights from the month:

  • πŸ™Œ GYM Initiative Conference (July 31–Aug 3): 15 children attended a spiritually uplifting camp with worship, sports, and dance presentations.

  • 🎢 Outpour of Fragrance Initiative (Aug 3): Our children sang, danced, and bonded with peers, including reconnecting with siblings from other homes.

  • 🌱 Living Mercy Voice Foundation Seminar (Aug 2): Focused on self-esteem, the effects of violence, and nurturing skills for caregivers.

  • πŸ‘©β€πŸ³ Panache Summer Camp: 5 children developed skills in baking, cooking, and public speaking β€” one won Best Handwriting (Female).

  • 🎨 Asido Foundation Bootcamp (Aug 5–7): Children explored resilience, self-care, painting, and creativity, receiving certificates for participation.

  • 🌸 August Girls Assembly (Aug 7–9): Virtual sessions taught girls confidence, value, and positive womanhood.

  • ⚽ New Covenant Teenagers Camp (Aug 13–17): 12 children enjoyed Bible study, talent shows, ICT training, and football β€” 3 girls won medals.

  • πŸ•οΈ Boys Summer Camp (Aug 15–17): 5 boys joined β€œNext Generation Heroes” camp with sports, prayers, and movies.

  • πŸ’– Love Walk Project (Aug 23): A joyful day of games, spelling bees, arts, and bonding with friends and siblings.

  • πŸ“– National Library Summer Program (Aug 18–29): 20 children gained exposure to 21st-century skills like coding, knitting, and storytelling.

Each outing was not just an event β€” it was an opportunity for our children to learn, express themselves, and discover new horizons.
