In today’s world, digital skills are no longer optional — they are essential. At Tabitha Home, we are passionate about ensuring that girls have equal opportunities to thrive in the digital age. That’s why we launched the Girls Tech Project, an initiative to empower young girls with tech-driven skills.
From August 11th to 20th, Tabitha Home hosted the fifth and final edition of Girls Tech (Girls Tech 1.5). The program gathered 22 girls from five care homes — Tabitha Home, Kent Home, His Heritage Home, Total Parentage Home, and Oyiza Home — for six days of intensive training at New Covenant Church, Ibadan.
The sessions covered:
-
🎥 Multimedia Basics – understanding media tools and storytelling
-
📱 Mobile Device Filming – shooting professional-quality videos with mobile phones
-
✂️ CapCut Video Editing – editing and producing creative content
-
📝 Content Creation Challenge – hands-on projects showcasing creativity
On the final day, participants presented their projects, received certificates, and celebrated their growth with awards of excellence. The joy, pride, and confidence on their faces told the story of what happens when girls are given the chance to learn, create, and lead
At Tabitha Home, we are passionate about ensuring that girls have equal opportunities to thrive in the digital age.
With your support, we can continue to expand the Girls Tech Initiative and empower even more girls with the skills of the future. Together, we are raising a generation of bold, innovative young women ready to shape the world.
