Summer Learning: How Our Children Spent the August Break Productively

Sep 9, 2025Reports0 comments

While many children see summer break as a time for rest, at Tabitha Home, it’s also a time for growth. This August, our children didn’t just take a break from school — they embraced opportunities to learn, explore, and develop new skills that will serve them for life.

From spending time in the library to attending empowering programs across Ibadan, our children were actively engaged in activities that built their confidence and expanded their knowledge.

Highlights included:

📚 Library & Reading Culture: Children accessed age-appropriate books to sharpen their minds and nurture a love for reading.

🎨 Creative Workshops: Through Tabitha Maison Enterprise, they learned Shoe Making and Resin Art, creating beautiful products with their own hands.

🌍 Camps & Conferences: Many attended youth camps and skill-based seminars, learning about self-esteem, resilience, public speaking, and time management.

👩‍🏫 Mentorship Sessions: Our staff provided ongoing psychosocial support through group and one-on-one activities that helped children build confidence, discover strengths, and improve areas of weakness.

These experiences remind us that learning doesn’t only happen in the classroom — it happens in every opportunity we give a child to grow.

When you give a child the tools to learn, you also give them the confidence to dream

Your support makes it possible for us to provide these enriching opportunities. Partner with us to keep empowering children to learn, grow, and thrive — even beyond the classroom.
